How to use the Free Sales Tax Nexus Diagnostic tool
Our downloadable Nexus Excel Template guides users through key questions about physical presence and economic activity. After completing and uploading the template, Peper will calculate which states are triggering nexus and provide an estimated liability for the previous year.
How to use the Nexus Diagnostic
Sign up for a free account on Peper, create a Client, and click "Start 2024 Nexus Diagnostic" on the client page.

Download the Nexus Excel Template and fill it out yourself or send it to a separate business, firm, or department.

For each state, the Excel template will prompt users to enter their revenue and transactions, answer 5 basic physical presence questions, and indicate whether they are filing.

Once the Excel template is completed, upload the file to Peper. A nexus analysis for the last year will automatically be performed to identify the states where nexus is triggered and estimate the 2024 tax liability for each state. A PDF report summarizing the results will also be generated.
